Archer
Animal ID: 273532 |
![]() |
– Busy pup who loves to connect with people through play and other activities; will likely enjoy physical activity and mental challenges to keep their bodies and brains busy – Prefers to explore and do their own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once they’re in a home environment and have had time to decompress – Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style – Smart boy who knows sit, shake and down – Loves going on walks and does best with a harness – Loves to learn and has great focus – especially if you have treats – so would be a lot of fun to train Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro recommended) – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
