HOW TO ADOPT: This rabbit is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet him, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Sweet, curious little adventurer who enjoys roaming around his foster family’s apartment; will be happiest in a home where he has space to explore and hop around – Can be cautious when things are loud or unfamiliar, but once he feels comfortable with his caregivers, he becomes very trusting and attached and will come up for snuggles and happily stay by your side – Does lots of adorable “binkies” (happy jumps) in the mornings; when he hears his foster family’s alarm go off he comes next to their bed and waits for them to get up because he knows it’s breakfast time – he’s always ready and excited for his morning meal! – Loves fresh veggies and fruits – some favorites are lettuce, spinach, carrots, celery, blueberries and bananas; enjoys trying new foods and of course loves his hay – Likes treat-dispensing balls he can roll around to earn snacks; also likes hay sticks, wooden toys and other chew toys – definitely loves to play and chew – Can stand on his hind legs for a surprisingly long time, especially when he’s curious or waiting for food! – VERY smart and remembers what times he gets fed and will hold a grudge if you miss it – Loves being petted while he’s on the ground, but his foster family said he isn’t the biggest fan of being picked up; did love to be held and snuggled in his previous home – Has been a gentleman while free-roaming in his foster home – has not been destructive or chewed on household items (unless he thinks they might be food) – When he’s tired, he’ll dramatically plop down wherever he is; also likes finding cozy hiding spots like under his foster mom’s bed – Uses his litterbox pretty well in his foster home, but occasionally will have accidents – We don’t know his history with children, but we think he may do well with gentle, calm interactions – Wasn’t interested in being friends with a rabbit in his previous home – his family said he just really preferred his quiet “me” time – Really great bunny who is sweet and easy to care for – would make a great addition to the family! |
