HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Was shy in her foster home at first, but opened up nicely after a few days and now doesn’t mind when her foster family comes near her hutch and interacts with her – Likes pets and will head butt your hand for attention – Gets the zoomies when she wants to play and flops over when she’s happy – Loves eating her rabbit pellets and will also eat Timothy hay; enjoys apples as treats – Foster family says she uses her litterbox with no issues – Most active in the morning and at night; tends to nap during the day – Not the biggest fan of being held – Comfortable venturing out of her enclosure as long as she has something comfortable to walk on; won’t walk on flooring where she can slip – May be happiest in a quiet, mature home – Arrived with an injury to one of her back legs that has made that knee larger and sometimes causes her kneecap to shift out of place, a condition called luxating patella; appears to get around well now and may or may not require additional veterinary care in the future (more info at ARL) |
