HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.

– A happy curious boy who loves to cuddle and play with his toys

– Goofy guy who loves stuffed toys and pup cups

– Enjoys sticking his head out the window on car rides

– Generally does well when meeting strangers, may just be nervous when meeting many new people at once

– Foster family says he is potty trained and will let you know when he wants to go outside, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine

– Foster family says he does well when left home alone and likes just looking out the window

– Walks well on a leash, but tends to get excited when he sees other dogs on walks so may do even better with a harness

– Tends to be an introvert around other dogs, may take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro required)

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)

– may prefer to be the only dog in their home

This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
