Additional Details

– Was very slow to warm up to people when she arrived at the shelter, but has gained a lot of confidence and has been experiencing great success meeting new people – we’re so proud of her!

– Being with people she trusts helps boost her confidence in new situations and with new people, but she is learning she can make friends on her own too

– Loves to be petted and loves to play – stuffed toys are extra fun for her!

– Enjoys keeping her brain and body busy

– Looking for a teens-and-up home that is fairly predictable; may also do OK in a home with mature kids ages 10+ who will understand when she needs space

– Is very uncomfortable interacting with other dogs right now, and needs to be the only dog in her home

– We don’t know her history with cats

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
