– Has a lot of youthful energy and loves doing zoomies around the house – her foster family says she’s a hoot; looking for people who will have fun with her energy – Loves tug, squeaky toys, and dog puzzles – she really enjoys working on her puzzles to find treats – Loves to cuddle and be spooned, and when you’re petting her, she’ll snuggle up until she’s half sitting on your lap – Very curious and wants to know what you’re up to at all times, so she’s looking for a family who will be OK with her wanting to be around them a lot – Knows sit and is highly food-motivated – Has been working on potty training in her foster home but will need some help from her new family to get all the way there – Her foster family said it’s been easy to crate-train her since she’ll do anything for a treat – Not a fan of the vacuum, but once she’s in her kennel she understands that it’s not going to get her – Has been working on her manners, including being polite with her mouth and body and the leash; is starting to understand that she won’t get any attention unless she is polite – Can be socially awkward around other dogs, as well as a linebacker-type player, which some dogs may not appreciate; may also prefer to be the only dog in her new home (dog intro required) – We don’t know her history with cats and kids – Appears to have had a previous injury to a cranial cruciate ligament in one knee, and will do best with a lower-impact lifestyle (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
