HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Sweet, gentle, loyal dog who can be shy at times; could use a little help with confidence-building and may be happiest in a calm, quiet home – Likes to chase squeaky toys and carry them around – Loves comfy beds and blankets – Knows sit and is treat-motivated – Was crate-trained and mostly potty trained in her previous home – May need some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others (dog intro required) – We don’t know her history with children or cats – May have allergies (more info at ARL) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
