HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org – Front declawed – Looking for a calm, quiet home where she can settle in and enjoy her life – Is not a good fit for children and is looking for a more mature home – Will be happiest as the only animal in her new home – A calm, gentle cat who loves her canned food, naps and a snuggly cat bed – She especially loves chin, and cheek rubs and will push her head into your hand to get you started – Has shown some interest in feather toys but is not a big player; she’d rather relax with her humans – She has benefited from raised food and water dishes and pet steps to get up on the furniture in her foster home – A perfect cat for someone looking for a very low maintenance cat to love and care for – Will need time to settle into her new home, so please let her acclimate to her home and allow her to come to you for love and pets, once she settles in – This cat has arthritis in her back right knee, and is currently taking medication to help her feel comfortable (she is good about taking it in her canned food – more info at ARL) All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) |
