– Loves tennis balls and could play by herself all day long – she’ll make her tennis balls roll and chase after them! – Enjoys keeping her mind and body busy; can be independent but her previous family said she was also a cuddler once she felt comfortable – Likes going on walks and does best with a harness – Has done well on car rides – Knows sit, down and paw – Previous family said she was potty trained and crate-trained in their home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule – Young, noisy or busy children may be too much for her, so we think she would do best in a more mature home – Can be socially awkward and unsure around other dogs; to set her up for success, she needs to be the only dog in her home right now – Needs a home with no cats This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
