Additional Details
- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time with her human companions: "Chica was super sweet with every human she met. She had no accidents inside. We gave her a bath and she jumped right into the tub and was an angel. She went on a short walk, got a pup cup, went to the sculpture park, laid on the couch and slept through part of a movie."
- Total goofball who loves toys and being silly
- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness
- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train (already knows sit!)
- Prefers to explore and do her own thing here in the shelter but will likely open up more once she's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended)
- Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style
- Needs a home with no cats
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
