HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – A sweetheart and a giant cuddle bug who also has some energy – Loves being with her people as much as possible and enjoys meeting new people – Loves toys and would love a yard to run and play in or someone who will take her on some good walks or hikes each day – Enjoys having lots of toys to play with (especially squeaky toys and bones) and getting lots of attention from her people – LOVES car rides and will hop right in on her own; likes to stick her head out the window but may try to stick her whole body out if it’s rolled down too far – Knows sit, stay, down and come and is very smart; her previous family said she had also started learning the word “kennel” to go into her crate – Super treat motivated – Foster family says she appears to be potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine – Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends (dog intro recommended) – Hasn’t had much interaction with other animals in her foster home, but seems curious about other dogs she passes on walks This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
