- Super sweet guy who is all about snuggling up on the couch with his people
- Likes walks and does well on a leash
- Loves playing tug!
- Very food-motivated and loves his treats
- Foster family said he appears to be housetrained; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine
- Not a fan of going in kennels, so he'll need some help building positive associations with crates; however, his foster family said he has done free-roaming in their home while they are gone
- Can be shy and uneasy in new situations and around new people, so plan on giving him extra time to acclimate if he needs that
- Sleeps with a child in his foster family's home at night and has been gentle around children, even young ones, although their noises can startle and stress him at times; may be happiest in a more mature home but likely could do fine with kids who are a good match for him
- Has done well with the dogs in his foster home, but can be introverted around new dogs; would do best with like-minded dog friends (dog intro recommended)
- Has done very well with the cats in his foster home
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
