---
- Arrived at the ARL undersocialized and has made great progress in a foster home; looking for a patient family who will give her time to settle in and help her continue to gain confidence
- Once she's comfortable, she'll seek out attention when her foster family is sitting down - she'll hop into their lap, stretch out, purr, and enjoy being petted, then jump down when she's had enough
- Still very much prefers attention on her terms
- Getting more comfortable with being picked up and has come a very long way with this, but still prefers to be held for only brief periods of time; will occasionally seem to want to be picked up for a quick snuggle before she is ready to go down again
- Enjoys playing with wand toys, and that will be a great way to gain her trust
This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
