- A total snuggle bug; loves cuddling up in laps
- Knows sit, shake, stay and come, does well on a leash and is treat-motivated
- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip where he chased balls outside, went on a drive and charmed his human companions: "He is very gentle and sweet. He loves to show sit and shake for treats. He loves belly rubs and getting pets and thinks he's a lap dog."
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him at times, and he can sometimes forget his size and strength, so he'll likely do best in a more mature home
- Has done well with dogs in the past, including a very small dog, and has enjoyed playing with them, but he can be a bit socially awkward (dog intro recommended)
- Previous family said he is not a fan of cats and would do best in a home without them
- Has a condition referred to as chronic inflammation of the ear canal and will most likely need medicated ear cleansers and regular vet visits in the future (more info at ARL)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label
