HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org

– Stunning Lynx Point Siamese who is tall, slender and oh so handsome

– LOVES to be near his humans once he gets to know you – this may take a week or so, so please be patient with him

– A serious lap cat once he gets to know you

– Loud, unexpected noises (even thunder) are very scary to him, so he is looking for a quieter home

– Has historically been stressed around other cats, but may do okay with a VERY calm cat buddy who has already lived with another cat

– He is very active and energetic; enjoys playing with toys

– LOVES his vertical scratcher and is very good about using it; he will need a tall cat tree with a sisal scratcher

– Likes to look out the window from his cat tree

– Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does

– Was somewhat fearful when he arrived at the shelter, but he has been coming out of his shell and is a total sweetheart with the people he feels comfortable with

– Loves to be pet and seek out attention

– Wants to be with his humans, once he has settled into his new home

– LOVES to wind around and rub against your legs, so he will not be suited well to a home with someone with mobility issues

– Is not a good fit for young, busy or active kids, so he is looking for a mature home that is calm and quiet

– Looking for a quiet home with one or two adults; change can be stressful for him so a calm, predictable home will be best

– Please plan on starting him in one room of your home and giving him quite a bit of time to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing him access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set him up for success by not overwhelming him

– Likes to eat Purina Naturals dry cat food (is not too interested in canned food or cat treats)
