Cubby and Sterling are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair.

- Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does

- Was very fearful when he arrived at the shelter, but he has been coming out of his shell and is a total sweetheart with the people he feels comfortable with

- He is learning to trust in his foster home, and enjoys laying next to you on the floor while you pet him - he has a wonderful purr

- Is very bonded to his buddy; they love to play together and take naps snuggled up next to each other

- His favorite toys are balls that he can chase and bat around the room

- LOVES other cats, including his bonded buddy, and draws confidence from his cat friends

- Has no experience with dogs

- Is not a good fit for young, busy or active kids, so he is looking for a mature home that is calm and quiet

- Looking for a quiet home with one or two adults; change can be stressful for him so a calm, predictable home will be best

- Please plan on starting him and his buddy in one room of your home and giving him quite a bit of time (possibly weeks) to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing him access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set him up for success by not overwhelming him

This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!

All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
