- Sweetheart of a dog who loves to cuddle and be next to her people; loves to sleep with her foster family at night
- Tennis balls seem to be her favorite toys, but she also loves chew toys and dental chews
- Knows sit and down and seems very trainable; does OK on a leash but tends to pull right now, especially when she sees other animals, so she may do best with a harness and a sturdy leash
- Has been great with potty training in her foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule
- Has done well with people visiting her foster home; may bark at first wanting to meet them, but once she has interacted she's fine and likes attention
- Has done well with children, even smaller ones, but she sometimes can forget to watch out for those around her when she's excited, so she may do best with kids who are big enough to be OK with that
- Can be overly excited when she sees other dogs and hasn't had much contact with other dogs while in our care (dog intro recommended)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
