---
- A shy-guy but also a cuddle bug and a sweetheart with a lot of energy
- Loves to chew on Nylabones and play with rope toys - he'll shake them and toss them in the air
- The most joyful guy while playing and would love a fenced yard to run in; jumps like a gazelle off his foster family's deck and stairs, and his whole back wiggles whenever he wags his tail - which is any time he's getting attention or love!
- Loves to smell things and be outside; may pull on walks when he's focused on following his nose, so a harness would be ideal for him
- Seems to know sit and responds to come (most of the time)
- Still working on housetraining, but he has been making really good progress in his foster home using treats and positive reinforcement
- Can initially be anxious in the car, but eventually settles down
- Still may shy away from approaching new people, but when people or dogs he trusts are there, he draws confidence from them
- Has done OK with other dogs, including the dog in his foster home, but can get very excited and intense and may play roughly at times; would do best with a confident dog friend who can handle his energy, model proper dog behavior, and help him continue building confidence (dog intro recommended)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
