Additional Details
- Once he's comfortable, he's full of energy and just wants to love and be loved
- Can be fearful and anxious in new situations and with new people, so he's looking for a patient person who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in; made a lot of progress in a foster home but will still need extra understanding and help with confidence-building in his new home
- Has done well with similarly minded dogs while in our care and participated in a 3-dog play group; would greatly benefit from having a confident dog friend in his new home to show him the ropes (dog intro recommended)
- Young, noisy or very active kids can be a lot for him to handle right now, so he'll do best in a calm home where all family members are mature enough to understand his needs
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
