HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.

Floki and Freya are Bonded Buddies; they’ll be adopted as a pair

– Arrived at the ARL undersocialized and has made great progress in a foster home; looking for a patient family who will give him time to settle in and help him continue to gain confidence

– Can be pretty shy around new people and in new places, so don’t be surprised if he hides at first; once he opens up, he’s a cuddler who likes to sit on laps and watch TV with you

– Relies on his buddy for confidence and tends to be wherever she is; if he is separated from her he will meow until he sees her again

– Loves to wrestle with his buddy, run around the house, and be up high

– Has never been around children but may do best in a quiet, mature home

– Has been living with dogs in his foster home and loves to hang out with them and play with them

This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We’ve seen good progress here at the ARL, but don’t be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first – maybe for quite a while – and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!

All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
