---

- Big cuddle bug who likes being up on the couch

- Loves all different types of toys

- Can be a little nervous around new people, especially when she is surprised by them; foster home says she usually just barks and then will approach to investigate before feeling more comfortable

- Does really well outside with recall and is getting more comfortable and confident exploring on her own

- Has been doing great with crate-training; foster family said she sleeps in her crate and also is used to being crated during the workday

- Has done well with kids, but can be bouncy and forget her mouth manners; just needs a little work on her manners, and she is very treat motivated, so she will likely learn quickly

- Can be awkward around other dogs and be insecure about her toys and tend to guard them, although her foster family says her guarding has never escalated to more than a growl; doesn't really play or wrestle with other dogs, but does like to play chase in the yard, especially when a ball is involved (dog intro recommended)

- Has been curious about the cat in her foster home but has not had access to it; will likely do best with a slow introduction to any resident cats

- Has been around chickens in her foster home and sometimes chooses to chase and sometimes leaves them alone; may need to be monitored around chickens or other fowl

- Is on a daily medication to aid in preventing urine leaking and has shown improvement while on it in her foster home; may need to continue this medication and may need ongoing medical care for this condition (more info at ARL)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
