– A fun, energetic, playful girl who likes toys and running around outside; still has a lot of puppy energy in her big dog body

– Loves chewing on bones and KONGs

– Very loving and enjoys spending time with her people

– Knows sit and down, and takes treats nicely

– Her previous family said she was mostly housetrained in their home but would occasionally have accidents; looking for a family who will continue working with her on this

– Seems unaware of her size and doesn’t always remember to watch out for those around her; has lived with school-age kids and younger kids and may do best in a home where all family members are big enough to be OK with her size and energy

– Does not like sharing her food or chews with other dogs; may do fine with dog friends and playmates when those resources are not around, but to set her up for success, she needs to be the only dog in her new home

– Has lived with cats

– Fun fact: DNA testing showed she is 70% Doberman pinscher and 30% Staffordshire bull terrier

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
