HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Very lovable boy; can be nervous at first when people come to his kennel, but once he comes out to meet them he loves them and can’t get enough cuddles and pets – Has ultimate side eye and will make you laugh with his faces – Likes to curl up and nap during the day but can also be playful; enjoys stuffed toys and fetch – Enjoys chewing on KONGs and bully sticks – Loves to learn and has great focus – especially if you have treats – so would be a lot of fun to train; already knows sit, shake, down, stay and come – Does great in the car and is always happy to hop in for a ride – Loves going on walks and does well on a leash – Appears to be potty trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine – Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
