- Big cuddle bug who is a champion napper and loves sleeping right next to (or on top of) his foster family - he thinks he's a lap dog!
- Favorite activities are playing fetch, tug-of-war, going on walks and snuggling with his foster mom
- Likes tug toys and squeaky toys and will bring them to you to entice you to play
- Loves playing outside and running around in his foster family's yard; would probably love a fenced-in yard
- Does well in the car and enjoys going on errands; loves getting pup cups!
- Will sleep in bed with his foster mom or in his dog bed; good at letting his foster mom sleep in and doesn't whine for her to get up
- Foster family says he is housetrained as long as he's in his kennel when no one else is home and is good at going in his kennel (especially if there are treats inside)
- Does well on a leash but even better with a harness
- His foster family reports that he's not been a barker in their home (they actually have yet to hear him bark)
- Has done very well with other dogs and loves to play with his dog friends
- Is very friendly with kids, would likely do best with older kids who are big enough to play with him
- Will likely do best with a family who loves staying active just like him and will play with him as much as possible!
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
