HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet him, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Gorgeous, friendly, cuddly guy who loves being around people – Enjoys being petted and sitting next to you, and doesn’t mind being picked up – Likes toy balls, catnip toys and wand toys when he’s feeling playful – Loves looking outdoors from a window perch! – Was stressed being around a young child in a previous home, and will likely do best in a calm, quiet, mature home – Has done well with some dogs and not others – May be happiest as the only cat in his new home – May do best in a smaller home environment such as a studio or apartment – Front declawed – We suspect this cat has feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC), a condition that can occur in times of stress and may cause litterbox issues; we highly recommend this cat remain on fluoxetine, a prescription medication he is currently on that has helped with these issues (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) |
