HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org — – Very sweet, laid back and quiet kitty who enjoys being in the same room with you – Likes being petted on her head and back – Loves to talk and tell you all about her day! – When feeling playful likes laser pointers and wand toys – Loves looking out the window – Will gladly jump on your laps for attention and love, but is happy as an independent girl too – Takes time to warm up to you, so let her go at the pace she feels comfortable with – May be shy at first and take a while to trust, but a very sweet girl once she feels comfortable – Will be happiest as the only pet in her new home – Seems to be fearful of men, so a female adopter will be best suited for her – Young, busy children are not a good fit for her (fast, unexpected movements make her nervous), so she is looking for a more mature home All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) |
