- Came from a situation where he did not get the socialization and exposure to the world that dogs typically get from a young age. Because of this, he may struggle with new situations, may show uncertainty with novel everyday objects, may need help understanding leashes, and will need patience and structure with housetraining.
- A very sweet guy with lots of potential; just needs the right family to show him love and help him open up!
- Prefers to initiate petting and other contact with the people he trusts most, will bop you with his nose to let you know when he wants attention
- Likes following his people around and just observing everything
- Has been working on leash training in his foster home but currently needs a fenced in yard to roam free in; will probably LOVE going on walks once he is more confident on a leash
- Is deaf and relies on the other dogs in his foster home to know when to go outside and come in side (would likely benefit from a dog friend in his new home to help him understand what's going on)
- Enjoys playing with other dogs in his foster home
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
